Pre-Conference Workshop

Current Events in Bad Faith: The Gulf StatesIn the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf States became a hot bed for bad faith cases, and subsequently turned out an overwhelming amount of case law in the area. With the addition of the BP oil spill to this already “hot” area, the uptick in bad faith law suits is sure to continue. This interactive session will focus on the recent developments in bad faith law in the Gulf States, including Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama, and leading practitioners will give an analysis of what claims lie ahead, where the law is headed and what insurance companies can expect in the near future. This is a MUST ATTEND workshop for attorneys and insurance professionals practicing in the Gulf Region and those in ALL areas of the country who want to stay up-to-date on the most current issue in bad faith litigation.
