This position is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, however we will consider qualified applicants who are able to work from our Sterling, VA office.
The Competitive Intelligence Manager has responsibility for monitoring a group of key competitors and providing in-depth understanding of these competitors and the market strategies they will use within our addressed markets. The Manager will be the company's eyes and ears to track, analyze and communicate the strategic activities of these competitors, and will work across all operating units to develop comprehensive analyses. Working individually and within teams, the Manager will lead complex CI projects, prepare profiles and assessments of key competitors within both tactical (pursuit-specific) and strategic (corporate-level) frameworks, respond to ad-hoc requests on competitive and strategic issues, and communicate with all levels of the company leadership.
Primary responsibilities include:
Directly managing primary and secondary intelligence gathering strategies for the company major pursuits. Activities include capture team training, Key Intelligence Topic (KIT) definition and management, and developing predictive costing/pricing models.
Identifying and accessing published information sources that are relevant to our business capture plans. Responsibilities include information source identification, search strategies and methods, and the synthesis of results into actionable intelligence and decisions for capture teams.
Training capture teams on intelligence gathering sources and methods, leading teams through the intelligence management cycle, and managing the acquisition, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence for the capture teams.
Leading the development of complex cost/price models that integrate RFP requirements, competitor solution sets, and competitor cost assumptions into accurate, reliable Price to Win models.
This position will have direct contact with senior leaders and capture management for strategically critical business pursuits. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to tranform large amounts of research data into succinct, clear conclusions that give insight into competitor strategies, and to communicate clearly and persuasively.Job Requirements
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate completion of at least the basic coursework and CI certification from ACI or an equivalent organization.
Strong Microsoft Office application software skills are required, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
US Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a United States DoD Security Clearance.
