Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the American Conference Institute, we would like to thank the co-chairs, Advisory Board members, speakers, sponsors, and attendees who contributed to making the 21st Annual Drug and Med conference a success. It was a pleasure welcoming you to New York City, and we hope you enjoyed Times Square during the holiday season. This year’s event featured the most in-house participation from pharmaceutical companies and medical device companies to date, and we hope you were able to tap into the wealth of knowledge in the room and walk away with some new relationships and some actionable and practical tools for litigating effectively and cost-efficiently.

Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of this year’s event was the presentation of the 2nd Annual Champions of the Products Liability Defense Bar award. Congratulations to the truly inspiring Eric Santoro, Senior Counsel, Global Litigation, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, on being voted by over 600 of his peers as this year’s winner. We wish to thank all the nominees and those who voted for participating.

As we enter 2017, the perennial march of new and innovative claims against the drug and device industries is set against the backdrop of a changing administration, new standards and policy edicts at the FDA, and increased private and public scrutiny. We hope that you will draw upon the knowledge and information you received at this past December’s event to boldly face these challenges in the new year. ACI is honored to provide a forum for the industry where its members are able to connect with their peers and share best practices. We are grateful for the good work that pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers continue to do and it is our continuing pleasure to help serve them in that endeavor through this forum.

We hope to meet you again at next year’s event, on December 4-6, 2017 at the landmark Marriott Marquis.

Very truly yours,

Stephanie Butler,  Aaron Goldstein & the ACI Drug and Med team
