MARGARET L. HUTCHINSON is Chief of the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, supervises all civil affirmative and defensive litigation, including Title VII, tort, environmental and fraud cases. Ms. Hutchinson has prosecuted health care fraud within teaching hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, Medicaid drug pricing, Medicare Part D plan, medical device purchases, Medicare secondary payment issues and HMO credentialing. Ms. Hutchinson recently supervised fraud in off label promotion of drugs and quality of care concerns such as the Personal Care Home initiative. She is a frequent lecturer at the National Advocacy Center and industry conferences. She teaches Health Care Fraud as an adjunct professor at Drexel University Law School. She received the Attorney General’s award for her work in fighting fraud and the Director’s award from the Executive Office of US Attorneys for her service as an Assistant US Attorney.
