SEAN C. CENAWOOD, the former Chief of the Civil Frauds Unit in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, is a Partner at Dentons, a global law firm with approximately 2,600 lawyers and professionals in more than 75 locations spanning more than 50 countries. Mr. Cenawood graduated, cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 1991. Mr. Cenawood is a member of Dentons' Litigation, White Collar and Government Investigations, and Health Care practices. He focuses on government and internal investigations, as well as complex civil litigation. Sean has handled scores of major investigations and litigations involving hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians, importers, medical device manufacturers, sports stadiums, recipients of federal stimulus monies and mortgage brokers, as well as a variety of other enforcement actions brought by the government. Mr. Cenawood has received the United States Department of Justice’s Attorney General Award, the Bar Association of the City of New York’s Henry L. Stimson Award, and the New York Federal Executive Board Award. He has also been named a “New York Super Lawyer - Criminal Defense: White Collar,” Super Lawyers.
