WILLIAM J. HARRINGTON is a partner at Goodwin Procter, LLP in New York City.  Since joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Harrington has represented diverse clients in civil fraud litigations and related DOJ investigations, including a mortgage originator, a federally insured bank, a medical organization, a pharmaceutical company and a military contractor.  He writes a regular column for the New York Law Journal on federal civil fraud enforcement and he regularly speaks at legal conferences on the False Claims Act and FIRREA.  Mr. Harrington has been recognized as one of the leading White Collar Crime Lawyers in the world by the 2014 edition of Euromoney’s Expert Guides: White Collar Crime Lawyers. Before joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Harrington worked as a criminal A.U.S.A. in the Southern District of New York and he served as the criminal health care fraud coordinator from 2010 to 2012.  He also focused on political corruption and fraud prosecutions.  After graduating from Yale Law School in 1999, Mr. Harrington clerked for Sidney H. Stein, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York and Chester J. Straub, United States Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
