ANDRE J. LAGARDE is an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Mr. Lagarde graduated from Tulane Law School in 2003; and, in January of 2009, he left private practice to join the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Orleans, where he has served as the ACE Coordinator, Civil Health Care Fraud Coordinator, and Asset Forfeiture Coordinator for the district. Mr. Lagarde has lectured extensively in the areas of seizure, forfeiture, money laundering, white collar crime, False Claims Act litigation, and parallel proceedings. During his time with the USAO, Mr. Lagarde has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the 2015 Director’s Award for Superior Performance by a Litigative Team. In October of 2017, Mr. Lagarde transferred to the Criminal Division; however, he continues to handle several FCA proceedings for the E.D. La. and regularly consults on new and prospective FCA matters.
