Abe Chernin is a Principal in the Chicago office of Cornerstone Research. Mr. Chernin received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2006. He consults to attorneys on complex economic and financial issues arising in real estate, banking, and consumer finance litigation. Much of his recent work focuses on residential mortgage matters stemming from the financial crisis, including the impact of real estate market developments on residential mortgage performance, lender/servicer/appraiser best practices, and regulatory issues. In these matters, he has led large teams of consultants supporting multiple academic and industry experts. Mr. Chernin has coauthored several articles on regulatory suits involving failed banks, including a chapter in Litigation Services Handbook: The Role of the Financial Expert.
