FRANK HIRSCH is a partner at Alston & Bird in the Litigation & Trial Practice Group and co-chair of the firm’s Financial Services Litigation team.  He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.  He focuses on business litigation with an emphasis on class actions in the financial services industry.  Mr. Hirsch has defended numerous class actions in more than 20 different states against lenders, mortgage brokers, servicers, insurers, credit card issuers and consumer finance companies.  He handles cases concerning a variety of state and federal regulations, including TILA, HOEPA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA, FDCPA, HMDA, CRA, HUD/FHA, TCPA and actions under various UDAP statutes, predatory lending statutes, usury and consumer fraud regulations. He also handles regulatory enforcement matters before the CFPB, FRB, OCC, FDIC, and HUD, as well as actions by state attorneys general and banking commissions. Mr. Hirsch is admitted to practice before the Eastern, Middle and Western Federal District Courts of North Carolina, the 4th and 6th Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and SCOTUS.  He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for financial services litigation [2013 Lawyer of the Year]. He is a member of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers (ACCFSL) and chair of the Class Actions and Multi-jurisdiction Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). He is on the advisory boards of the UNC Law School Banking Institute, and the Consumer Financial Services Law Report.
