Jennifer L. Gray is shareholder and co-chair of Consumer Financial Services Litigation at Greenberg Traurig LLP. Jennifer represents financial institutions in complex civil litigation and regulatory enforcement actions. She regularly defends clients in class actions arising under a broad range of federal and state consumer protection statutes including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth In Lending Act (TILA), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECO), and California Business & Professions Code Section 17200. Jennifer also represents financial institutions in retail banking, antitrust, and general commercial litigation matters. She advises clients on consumer financial services regulatory issues and assists clients pre-suit to avoid litigation where possible. She has led a number of large-scale mortgage servicing compliance reviews and projects. Jennifer’s clients include national and regional banks, loan servicers, non-bank lenders, credit card issuers, debt buyers, and third-party debt collectors.
