Mark Smith is the Vice President of Government Accounting Compliance at Booz Allen Hamilton and has over 30 years of U.S. Defense contracting experience. He was previously a Financial Executive at major Aerospace companies: Rolls-Royce, Cobham, Parker Hannifin, and Textron at various U.S. locations, the United Kingdom, and France. He has led the Finance organization in FAR15, FAR12 and mixed Civil environments. Mark has directed the pricing of over $30 billion in compliant U.S. Government proposals, maintained required DFARS Business System compliance, and negotiated final cost rates for 35 years of Department of Defense Incurred Cost Submissions.
Mark is the nominated Industry Representative for the Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB), the current Chairman of the Financial Executives International Committee on Government Business, the former Chairman for the Aerospace Industries Association’s Cost Principles Committee, and an active member of the National Defense Industrial Association Procurement Contract Finance Committee.
Mark holds a degree in Finance from the University of Southern California (USC). He also is a Certified Engineering Manager from the California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech) and a Certified Financial Planner from the University of California Irvine (UCI).
