HANNAH Y. CHANOINE is in the Consumer Class Action Defense Group in O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s New York office.  She defends and advises companies on a diverse range of class action matters in the trial and appellate courts, from manufacturers of household name personal care products to satellite broadcasters to insurance companies.  Hannah is currently a member of the adjunct faculty at Columbia Law School, where she co-teaches a course on US Food Law and Policy. Hannah is a frequent conference speaker on class action topics, and has been published in the New York Law Journal on the subject of mitigating class action risk. Hannah began her career clerking for the Hon. Sonia Sotomayor on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and then served as a trial attorney in the Department of Justice, Civil Division (Federal Programs Branch) through the Attorney General's Honor's Program. Hannah received her JD from Columbia University School of Law, where she was twice named a James Kent Scholar for outstanding academic achievement.
