JENNIFER QUINN-BARABANOV is a partner in Steptoe’s Washington office.  Her practice focuses on class actions and product liability matters.  Ms. Quinn-Barabanov has successfully defeated class certification in several cases involving medical monitoring relief and alleged economic loss.  She is a recognized leader on the use of expert testimony in class certification proceedings.  Ms. Quinn-Barabanov won a 2012 Burton Award in legal writing for her article, Has Dukes Killed Medical Monitoring?  She frequently serves as national coordinating counsel for companies facing dozens to thousands of similar product claims across the country.  In this role, she has formulated and implemented global strategies for successfully representing clients in individual law suits, consolidated federal multidistrict litigation, and class actions.  Ms. Quinn-Barabanov’s frequent publications and thoughtful commentary on emerging issues earned her a place on the Editorial Board of Product Liability Law360.  Ms. Quinn-Barabanov graduated from Yale University summa cum laude and the Georgetown University Law Center cum laude.  Prior to joining Steptoe, Ms. Quinn-Barabanov clerked for the Honorable William G. Bassler of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
