MICHEAL D. FERACHI is a Member of McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC, resident in its Baton Rouge, Louisiana offices. Michael is the Commercial Litigation section head for the Baton Rouge office, and he served as the Managing Member of the Baton Rouge office for 8 years. Michael is a member of the firm’s national Consumer Class Action Defense Group with a special emphasis on consumer financial services, outdoor advertising, aviation, and insurance litigation. He has defended financial institutions, servicers, insurers, and other companies in consumer class actions filed in state, federal and bankruptcy courts in several states. Michael is the Editor in Chief of the CAFA Law Blog (www.cafalawblog.com), the leading online authority for CAFA information, case analyses and insights. Michael has lectured extensively on various topics, including the Class Action Fairness Act, class actions, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and ethics. Michael received his J.D. degree in 1989 and his B.S. in Accounting in 1986 from Louisiana State University.
