ROBERT COURTNEIDGE is Locke Lord's Global Head of Cards and Payments.  He represents international financial institutions and technology providers. He has 20+ years of experience in the payment sector, advising on commercial and consumer finance issues, consumer protection, banking regulation and compliance and data protection.  Robert works with HM Treasury and the Financial Conduct Authority and other compliance and industry bodies in Europe and around the world to ensure compliance for his clients.  He focuses on working on innovative products in the financial services industry, embracing new technological and regulatory developments.  Robert is a frequent spokesperson on current issues facing the European Payments' Industry including regulatory developments – 2PSD, SEPA, 4 MLD and 2 EMD and regularly speaks worldwide on prepaid cards and its technology. Robert was named Best Industry Contributor at The Prepaid Awards 2011 and Payments Power10 2013, recognizing his achievements and commitment to the industry.  He is a co-founder of the Prepaid International Forum.
