J. NOAH HAGEY is a founding partner and lead trial counsel of litigation boutique BraunHagey & Borden LLP in San Francisco and New York.  The firm is known for its creative approach to class action defense.  It has successfully defeated dozens of food labeling class actions for publicly and privately held companies in courts around the country, including California, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.   No class has ever been certified against any firm client.  Noah, named a California SuperLawyer, also represents private equity and hedge funds regarding litigation risk, pre- and post-exit due diligence, and portfolio company liability.  As lead trial counsel, Noah has led OVER $600 million in client victories in cases involving trademark, patent, financial services, business torts, class actions, and other civil matters.  He is a regular contributor to industry press on complex litigation, and his decisions have been featured in various industry and legal publications, including Reuters, National Law Journal, Law360, HedgeFundNet, Futures, CFO and The Recorder.  He also has been featured on Bloomberg television and other news organizations regarding regulatory and litigation issues. Noah graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and is admitted to practice in both New York and California.  An avid sportsman, Noah competes in regional running and triathlon races in Northern California, and represented the U.S.A. men’s over-35 basketball team in the World Maccabiah Games in Israel in 2013.
