ANDREA F. HUBERTY Has been with AMS since August 2016 as Senior Policy Advisor working on the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard. Before joining AMS, she was Associate Executive Director in the Analysis and Information Management unit in Plant Protection and Quarantine at the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), working to improve data-driven decision-making to protect American agriculture. Previously, Andie spent 10 years in APHIS’ Biotechnology Regulatory Service as a biotechnologist and supervisory policy analyst. As Branch Chief, her branch developed policies and regulations for those genetically engineered organisms regulated by APHIS. She is an author, researcher, or statistician on 18 publications, including published articles in the journals Nature, American Naturalist, and Ecology. Andie received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Entomology from the University of Maryland College Park, and her B.S. degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Rochester (NY). She currently spends her free time watching the world through the eyes of her 13 year old daughter, Anika.
