CASSANDRA S. FRANKLIN serves as Managing Attorney of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, North America’s Claims Coverage Counsel team. Cassandra and her group advise Allianz on the legal and strategic aspects of complex claims, from diverse lines of business, across all geographic regions served by the company. Cassandra has extensive experience handling a wide range of insurance coverage matters, including matters involving Commercial General Liability, Entertainment, and Intellectual Property insurance coverage issues. Before joining Allianz, Cassandra spent over 13 years with the same policyholder-side insurance coverage group. She was a partner and served as deputy chair of the insurance coverage practice at Dickstein Shapiro LLP. Cassandra has also written and spoken on a variety of insurance coverage topics. Earlier in her career, Cassandra was a member of the clinical faculty at UCLA School of Law and an attorney at Hufstedler, Kaus LLP, where she handled litigation at both the trial and appellate court levels. After receiving her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1985, Cassandra clerked for Otto M. Kaus and Edward A. Panelli, then associate justices of the California Supreme Court. Over the years, Cassandra has also devoted many hours of pro bono time to the Alliance for Children’s Rights’ Adoption Program, representing prospective adoptive parents of at-risk children in the State of California. In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys practicing yoga, running agility courses with her dogs.
