Jeffrey L. Kingsley
Jeffrey Kingsley is a core leader of Goldberg Segalla’s Global Insurance Services Group and currently co-chairs Goldberg Segalla LLP’s Insurance Regulatory Group, Reinsurance Sub-Group, and Extra Contractual/Bad Faith Sub-Group. He was also an editor of Defense Research Institute Reinsurance Professional’s Deskbook Guide. Mr. Kingsley has also spoken several times nationally on the changing landscape of bad faith/extra contractual obligation litigation in the United States and ways to mitigate the role. He maintains international practice focusing on insurance and reinsurance coverage matters and regulatory issues. He has extensive experience handling licensing issues and capitalization requirements, and he frequently consults on the impact of newly implemented domestic and foreign laws including the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Legacy Insurance Management Act (LIMA), as well as the increasing role of the Federal Insurance Office (FIO). Mr. Kingsley is a frequent author and speaker, speaking recently at the Brokers and Reinsurance Markets Association. He was also an editor of the Firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Report. Jeff is national regulatory counsel for one of the largest providers of service contracts for both commercial and personal vehicles, which involves regular interaction with state insurance department representatives across the country. Jeff has lectured and written extensively on emerging issues in the insurance and reinsurance industry.
