RICHARD FAULKNER is a Partner at Blume, Faulkner, Skeen, PLLC. He has been practicing in the fields of arbitration and mediation for over 35 years. He is recognized internationally as an arbitrator and a published expert in the field, holds extensive professional ADR certifications and is a Diplomat and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has served as a Special Master in the federal courts on complex insurance issues and as a nationally recognized mediator mediating hundreds of cases involving numerous parties and hundreds of millions of dollars. On behalf of Jim Blume's automobile dealer clients, he spearheaded a series of major class arbitrations and litigation cases on automobile dealership computer hardware and software issues. Currently the firm is leading counsel for auto dealers suing the Obama Administration for the unconstitutional taking of automobile franchises by the Auto Task Force. Besides arbitration and mediation, Richard has served as a trial judge in Texas and Louisiana and as a Professor of Dispute Resolution Law in the U.S. and overseas. He is married to the Honorable Gena Slaughter, the Presiding Judge of the 191st Judicial District, Dallas County who was reelected to her third term in 2014.
