AVP and Special Counsel
MICHAEL PARKER is an AVP and Special Counsel at Unum where he partners with outside counsel throughout the country managing Unum’s claim litigation and provides legal counsel to various areas of the company. Mr. Parker was a School Psychologist in Illinois before graduating first in his class from Northern Illinois College of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. Following that he served as a law clerk for G. Thomas Eisele, Chief Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Mr. Parker then returned to his home state of Maine, practicing for a time in a small firm in Portland before joining the in-house counsel team at Unum.
