CATHERINE GALLO is an Assistant Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at The Hartford. Ms. Gallo received her law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law and is admitted to the New York and Connecticut Bars. Ms. Gallo started her Hartford career in its Corporate Litigation area, and now for over ten years has practiced in its Group Benefits Law area supporting Claims and Practices. Ms. Gallo began her career as a litigator at Shearman & Sterling, before serving as a law clerk to a Federal Judge in Connecticut, and then as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York’s Criminal Division. She has also consulted with Aetna on Civil Justice Reform and worked for Executive Risk (Chubb) in the Lawyer’s Professional Liability area.
