DAVID K. STEIN is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Residential Finance Corporation‚ a national mortgage lender‚ and has served in this capacity since 1997. Mr. Stein graduated‚ cum laude‚ from Capital University Law School in 1989 with a J.D.‚ and from The Ohio State University in 1986‚ with a B.S. in Political Science. Mr. Stein is admitted to the bars of the states of Ohio and Florida. Mr. Stein began his practice in commercial litigation and management representation in labor and employment matters. Much of his work focuses on risk mitigation‚ regulatory compliance and proactive controls to prevent liability and litigation related to the fields of financial services‚ labor and employment law‚ FTC and UDAP concerns‚ and a host of other challenges that face a large consumer-facing mortgage lender. Mr. Stein previously served as an adjunct professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and serves in an Of Counsel capacity with Stein Chapin & Associates in Columbus‚ Ohio‚ a firm that he founded in 1992. Mr. Stein resides in New Albany‚ Ohio with his wife and three sons.
