DAVID G. CONLIN is a member at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. Dave has decades of experience assisting clients in establishing, maintaining, and enforcing their intellectual property portfolios. He serves both plaintiffs and defendants, and focuses on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. Dave is a collaborative leader, who utilizes the strengths of his teammates to deliver strategic and unique approaches to his clients. Prior to joining the firm, Dave was co-chair of the IP litigation practice group at another international law firm. Dave was lead trial counsel in a number of important Hatch-Waxman litigations, including Takeda Chemical Industries, Ltd. V. Mylan Laboratories, Inc., 417 Fed. Supp. 341 (S.D.N.Y. 2006); aff’d 492 F.3d 1350 (Fed. Cir. 2007); Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. v. Barr Labs, Inc., 718 Fed.Supp. 2d 382 (S.D.N.Y. 2010), aff’d 435 Fed. Appx. 927 (Fed. Cir. 2011) Dave has served as a patent examiner, and worked as a chemical engineer at DuPont. In addition, Dave was a technical advisor to Judge Baldwin at the Court of Customs and Patent Appeals (CCPA), predecessor court to the Federal Circuit. He has also served as Special Master in the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Dave has been listed for almost 20 years in the Intellectual Property section of Best Lawyers in America, who also named him Boston Patent Law “Lawyer of the Year” in 2014.
