JAIME A. KOSOFSKY is a founding partner of the North Carolina based law firm of Brady & Kosofsky, PA. Jaime is a licensed attorney and leading authority in residential real estate law and title, short sale transactions, REO practice,and unauthorized practice of law issues, among the real estate professionals in the Southeastern United States. He is called upon by the various real estate companies, brokers, lenders, and publications and other professionals to share his knowledge and consult on various projects and educational programs. He has lectures on short sale and default industry, as well as unauthorized practice of law related subjects several times a month and maintains a robust default based law practice which services all of North Carolina and South Carolina. Jaime has developed a lawyer based short sale protocol which includes many innovate ideas to keep the consumer and servicers in tune with all activity occurring on a particular file. He is currently developing a consulting practice to assist lenders, servicers and other default and title based companies comply with local authorized practice of law statutes as they attempt to conduct business in the attorney states of North Carolina and South Carolina. Jaime is a member of REOMAC, National REO Brokers Association, National Association of REO Brokers, The Open Door Institute, a board of director of the Real Estate Lawyers Association of North Carolina, The North Carolina State Bar, The South Carolina State Bar, and the West Virginia State Bar. Jaime is currently serving his second term as a member of the editorial advisory committee for the October Research Company publication “RESPA News”.
