ROBIN WALKER is Research & Business Development Counsel at Biogen. Robin joined Biogen in 2009 as Associate General Counsel.  Founded in 1978, Biogen is one of the oldest independent biotechnology companies in the world.  Biogen is an innovation company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes innovative therapies for people living with serious neurological, autoimmune and rare diseases. Robin has 17 years of experience as a business lawyer in both private practice and in-house.  Robin currently concentrates her practice on providing strategic advice and negotiating licensing and collaboration agreements, strategic alliances, joint ventures, development agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.  Over the course of her career at Biogen, Robin has provided support to Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Tax, Finance, Government Affairs, Corporate Compliance, Human Resources, Medical Affairs, and The Biogen Foundation on a full spectrum of business law matters including PhRMA Code compliance, antitrust, FINRA investigations, corporate governance, and securities law compliance. Prior to joining Biogen, Robin was Senior Corporate Counsel at Staples, Inc., and a Senior Associate in the Boston office of K&L Gates. Robin serves on the boards of the Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and is President of the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Foundation.  Robin is also the Assistant Secretary to The Biogen Foundation, Inc. Robin received her B.A. from Vassar College and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.  Robin lives in Lexington, Massachusetts and enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
