In January 2024, BIS proposed “Know Your Customer” reporting requirements for IaaS providers and their resellers, including reporting on customers training AI models. Later, in September 2024, BIS proposed rules requiring frontier AI developers and compute providers to share data related to model development and red-teaming efforts. BIS also expanded its Verified End-User (VEU) program to include AI data centers. This expanded VEU includes an application process with reporting on cybersecurity, technology controls, customers, and other compliance procedures. How will you adapt your export compliance program to meet these reporting requirements, and what impact will they have on your organization and the larger AI development ecosystem?

Key topics during this complimentary webinar include:

  • The latest export compliance requirements for AI development and the cloud
  • The downstream impacts of these reporting requirements for AI developers and users
  • Building on existing export compliance programs to establish Customer Identification Programs (CIPs)
  • Processes for securely storing and sharing proprietary data on AI development and training
  • How to successfully apply to the expanded VEU program
  • Practical tips for maintaining compliance with cybersecurity and data privacy requirements for AI developers, trusted data centers, and cloud providers
