Our Vision and Mission
The vision of the Women in Sanctions Network (WSN) is to create a community where women, and those who support women, working in sanctions have access to resources, support, and opportunities that enable them to excel in their careers, contribute to shaping the field, and promote a fair and effective global sanctions regime that advances international security, human rights, and economic prosperity.
The mission of the WSN is to provide a platform for women, and those who support women, working in sanctions to connect, learn, and empower each other through networking events, professional development programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Why Our Members are Committed to WSN
“I joined WSN because I am passionate about ethical practices and combatting financial crime, with a strong interest in global policies like sanctions as tools for positive change. I am driven to grow my career through learning and advocating for meaningful progress in the sanctions and financial crime community. WSN supports these goals as one of the largest international membership organizations dedicated to fighting financial crime and connecting subject matter experts across the world.”

“It was, and continues to be, inspiring to see so many women across different industries come together with a shared goal of promoting sanctions compliance within our respective organizations and fields. I’ve already made genuine connections with women who share my experiences, and that has been invaluable. By joining the Women in Sanctions Network, I’ve gained access to professional development, networking, advocacy, and personal growth opportunities, all within a supportive and empowering community.”
