Al is a Senior Investment Advisory Consultant and heads the Atlanta office. He consults nationally to corporations on plan design, investment management, governance and revenue utilization matters.
Over a 32 year career, Al has become a widely published author and speaker on issues related to plan fees, target-date strategies, and retirement plan instruments. Al has been recognized by Federal Courts as an expert on 401(k) plan fees, and has served as an expert witness for seven significant federal fiduciary breach lawsuits. Al began advising 401(k) plans in 1984, and earned an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA™) designation in 2006.
He currently serves on three non-profit boards and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and was a President’s Fellow at Georgia Tech.
