• Russia ranked 124 /177 on the Corruption Perception Index.
• Russian investigated committed opened 4,000 more corruption related cases in 2013 than in 2012.
• For the first half of 2013 – 1,300 citizens were convicted of giving bribes.
• At the government level the five top areas for corruption are Government contracts and purchases, Issuance of permits and certificate, Law-enforcement agencies, Land distribution and land relations & Construction.
• 92% of Russians believe that public officials or civil servants are corrupt/ extremely corrupt.
